Structure and properties of relaxor ferroelectrics

The dissertation will be focused on the research and development of advanced electroceramics, derived from perovskite-structured relaxor ferroelectrics, for effective energy storage. In course of dissertation work, theoretical and experimental approaches will be employed including material processing, X-ray diffraction and the Rietveld refinement method, scanning and transmission electron microscopy, and characterization of specific electro-physical properties of functional ceramics. For analytical assessment of the macroscopic properties with respect to the chemical and structural nature of electroceramics, an extended technique of dielectric spectroscopy will be adopted to study ferroelectric phase transitions.
