Kristián Blaškovič was born in 1986 in Nové Zámky. Between 2005 and 2010 he studied Law at the Faculty of Law, Trnava University in Trnava, Slovakia, where he earned PhD. in 2013. In the same year he became a member of Department of international law and european law of the same faculty and was a lecturer in internation public law, use of force and theory and practice of the UN. In 2016 he graduated at the Faculty of Social Studies, Masaryk University in Brno, Czech republic. Since 2018 he has served at various positions in state administration. He deals with questions of international public law, use of force, UN Security Council, collective security and international environmental law. In 2011 he was an intern at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Slovak republic and at the Embassy of the Slovak republic in Budapest. He also studied in Budapest (Pázmány Péter Katolikus Egyetem), lectured at universities in Vilnius, Salerno and Olomouc and participated at the course of International Disaster Law at International Institute of Humanitarian Law in San Remo. Since 2022 is a member of the Slovak Academy of Sciences.
