Zuzana Panczová studied ethnology and history at Comenius University in Bratislava. She received her PhD. at the Institute of Ethnology of the Slovak Academy of Sciences. She works as a senior research fellow at the Institute of Ethnology and Social Anthropology of the Slovak Academy of Sciences, v. v. i. . Her research is focused on narrative folklore, especially rumours, legends, and conspiracy theories in the context of group identity and ideology. Since 2021, she has been a Vice-President for International Relations of the Slovak Academy of Sciences.
