Senior Research Fellow at the Institute of Sociology of the Slovak Academy of Sciences. My research focuses primarily on cultural-sociological theories of power and authority, contemporary Czech-Slovak relations, and related theoretical questions. Before joining the Slovak Academy of Sciences, I was a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Copenhagen. I received my PhD from the University of Edinburgh in 2020, supported by a scholarship from the UK Economic and Social Research Council. I am also a Faculty Fellow at the Center for Cultural Sociology at Yale University. I serve on the editorial boards of the American Journal of Cultural Sociology, the European Journal of Cultural and Political Sociology, and Sociological Theory. My work has been published in journals including Sociological Theory, Sociology, the European Journal of Social Theory, the American Journal of Cultural Sociology, and the Journal of Cultural Economy. I also serve as a coordinator of the Sociology of Culture Research Network (RN07) of the European Sociological Association.
