About the magazine
Bulletin of the Slovak Botanical Society (ISSN 1337-7043) is a peer-reviewed membership journal published twice a year. Non-members of the SBS cover the publication costs themselves: the fee per page is €5. In a given volume, 1–2 Supplements devoted to special topics may also be published during the year.
The Bulletin of the Slovak Botanical Society publishes:
- Reports on the activities of the Slovak Botanical Society, members’ life anniversaries and obituaries, and reviews of publications from botanical disciplines.
- Original papers in floristics, taxonomy, phytocoenology, phytogeography, ecology and ecophysiology of plants, dealing mainly with the territory of Slovakia, as well as review articles with a length of up to 10 (15) pages.
Manuscripts undergo a peer-review process prior to publication. Each contribution is reviewed by experts in the relevant field, nominated by members of the Editorial Board. The Editorial Board reserves the right to make the final decision on the publication of a manuscript or to reject it on the basis of the reviewers’ expert opinions. The review process is anonymous.
