The Center for Social and Psychological Sciences of the Slovak Academy of Sciences (CSPV SAV) was established on 1 October 2015, following prior agreements on cooperation, through the merger of three institutes of the Slovak Academy of Sciences: the Institute for Forecasting (Bratislava), the Institute of Experimental Psychology (Bratislava), and the Institute of Social Sciences (Košice).
The main mission and scope of activities of CSPV SAV is to conduct research and to collect, process, and disseminate scientific knowledge. CSPV SAV focuses on interdisciplinary basic and applied research in the following fields:
psychology, economics, history (Slovak history of the 20th century), sociology, demography, and demogeography.
