Annotation
The dissertation focuses on a comprehensive technological analysis of a key Szeletian lithic assemblage from the site of Moravany nad Váhom-Dlhá. Its aim is to reconstruct the chaîne opératoire and identify technological traditions and norms within the Szeletian technocomplex. The study further evaluates the technological skills of the assemblage’s producers and potential evidence of learning processes and social organisation. The resulting data will be interpreted within the context of the Middle to Upper Palaeolithic transition in Central Europe.
