Annotation
The topic of the doctoral dissertation focuses on a comprehensive analysis and evaluation of the spatial distribution of small archaeological finds originating from settlement features and cultural layers of the Great Moravian power centre at Bojná I. The aim of the research is to identify potential settlement areas within the hillfort, determine their functional differentiation, and reconstruct chronological changes in the structure and use of the site throughout its existence. In the event of obtaining grant funding (APVV or VEGA projects), the PhD candidate will be actively involved in the implementation of the research project, enabling the systematic application of advanced technological, environmental, and chronological analyses of selected categories of finds and features (e.g. material analyses, archaeometric methods, absolute dating). Applicants are expected to have a working knowledge of Slovak or Czech, which is essential for working with handwritten field documentation and archival sources. Familiarity with statistical methods in archaeology and experience with GIS-based analyses will be considered an advantage.
