Annotation
The work focuses on investigating detailed characteristics of snow cover (snow height, snow water equivalent, snow density, liquid water content, snow ice content, etc.) and their impact on runoff from the mountain basin of the Jalovecký creek catchment. The aim of the work is to identify temporal and spatial changes in snow cover characteristics at different altitudes, different landscape cover (forest, mountain pine, meadows) and their impact on runoff from the basin. The research will be based on data analysis, expeditionary measurements of snow cover, climatic and hydrological characteristics. The components of the water balance during the accumulation and melting of snow cover in the West Tatras will be analyzed. The work will include precipitation-runoff modeling of runoff processes and water balance.
