Annotation
The study will focus on modern bioinformatic approaches for identifying ancestral sequences across various evolutionary families of antioxidant enzymes that are essential for effective cellular protection against oxidative stress. After identifying and mapping the most suitable candidates, we will perform their heterologous expression in appropriate hosts, and the purified ancestral enzymes will be subjected to molecular-biological and physiological analyses.
