Annotation
The material of the dissertation is the legends of St. Nicholas preserved in the Cyrillic manuscript tradition of the Carpathian provenance. The research assumes a textual, linguistic and literary-historical analysis of selected sources with the aim of identifying their possible sources and variants. The methodological framework of the work is a combination of philological analysis, a comparative approach with elements of codicology and paleography, taking into account the Byzantine-Slavic hagiographic tradition. The work aims to analyze the linguistic and cultural contexts of the regional form of the cult of St. Nicholas and to clarify the migration of individual motifs in the Carpathian area in the context of broader research of the Cyrillic manuscript tradition in the Slavic environment.
