Annotation
The dissertation examines political efficacy (internal and external) in the context of socio-spatial differentiation in Slovakia. The main objective is to identify whether systematic differences in perceived political influence exist between urban and rural populations, and how these differences have evolved throughout the post-transformation period. The research investigates whether these disparities are converging or deepening over time, while considering contextual factors (urbanization, regional inequalities) and individual-level characteristics (political socialization, political interest, education, media consumption). Methodologically, the dissertation relies primarily on the analysis of quantitative data (e.g., EVS, ISSP), with an emphasis on temporal comparison and the identification of long-term trends.
