Annotation
The relationship between the nationalizing state and diasporas is dynamic, complex and multidimensional. It changes over time and is conditioned by movements in the broader social context. Nationalizing states conceive policies towards their diaspora, behaving hierarchically towards its different segments, depending on numerous factors related to migration ('old' and 'new' diaspora, etc.). The diaspora itself is characterized by internal complexity. The comparative approach to diaspora policy in Central and Eastern European states, the complex relationship between nationalizing states and diasporas, or segments thereof, in an increasingly globalized world, constitute a scientifically relevant topic.
