Annotation
Cardiovascular complications represent the most common cause of morbidity and mortality in the world. These include both heart failure and complications of various metabolic diseases. However, the detailed mechanisms of these pathological conditions are insufficiently investigated at both the organ and cellular levels. The aim of the work is therefore to study calcium signaling and mitochondrial metabolism in experimental models of cardiac stress such as obesity, physical activity, ontogenetic development as well as the rare hereditary disease Wolfram syndrome.
