Annotation
Materials of the AnBn−δO3n series are intensively studied, both because of their high application potential and because of the understanding of the basic magnetic principles in frustrated systems. The topic is focused on the search for new substituted materials of the ABO3 type (n = 1; δ = 0, i.e. perovskites) with stoichiometry RET1-xT’xO3 (RE = 4f metal; T, T’ = 3d metal; 0 ≤ x ≤ 1) or of the AnBn−δO3n type (e.g. n = 4; δ = 1); optimization of their properties and/or understanding of the basic magnetic mechanisms in these materials. The student will be guided through all steps of experimental research from sample preparation, through experiments, data analysis to the presentation of results, which will ensure his/her broad perspective in the field of experimental physics.
