| Annotation: | DARIAH-SK is a newly established national research infrastructure platform for Digital Humanities in Slovakia, aligned with the European infrastructure DARIAH-EU (Digital Research Infrastructure for the Arts and Humanities). The platform aims to transform Slovak humanities for the digital age by providing advanced digital services, connecting dispersed national initiatives, and fostering cross-institutional collaboration. DARIAH-SK is a distributed infrastructure composed of seven founding partners from the academic, research, and technology sectors. It is currently in the preparatory and initial implementation phase, and is preparing the application for full membership of the Slovak Republic in DARIAH-EU. Funded as an ESFRI-type national infrastructure (VIESF), DARIAH-SK plans activities for the 2025–2027 period with a focus on: - developing and enhancing digital repositories, corpora, and tools, - supporting FAIR data principles and open science, - collaborating with universities and cultural institutions, - raising the visibility of Slovak research within the European Research Area (ERA). The platform will also contribute to digital skills development, increase the employability of humanities scholars, and support the preservation and accessibility of Slovak cultural heritage. |
