| Annotation: | The main purpose of the project is to make available parallel Slovak-German written monuments of guild associations from archives in Slovakia in their full extent. We will focus on two previously unprocessed funds in the State Archives in Banská Bystrica (Slovenská Ľupča and Radvaň), which follow on from previous research on parallel Slovak-German guilds in the State Archives in Banská Bystrica in the collection Banskobystrické cechy 1443 – 1872/1948/. In addition to the descriptive and comparative characteristics of the Slovak and German linguistic mutation, we will focus on the historical and economic significance of guild associations, the contemporary realities resulting from the contents, thereby expanding our horizons into the reality of Slovak-German coexistence and guild associations in the territory of today's Slovakia. |

| Annotation: | The project aims to produce a scholarly commentary on the first part of the Gospel of John (chapters 1-11). This
project is a continuation of the series of Commentaries on the OT and NT books. The Commentaries on the Books
of the Psalms were published with the support of the APVV agency. The first part of the project "Commentary on
the Gospel of John 1-11" will be translations from the ancient Greek, Syriac and Latin texts. A technical translation
will be the basis for philological (morphological and syntactical) and textual-critical notes. This will be followed by
technical, semantic commentary on individual verses and literary analyses. The commentaries will be set in a
historical, socio-cultural context; the analysed text will be compared in meaning and form with the text of the
ancient Apocrypha. The actual analyses will be augmented by introducing the interpretations of the Church
Fathers. The results of the analyses will be set in a Judeo-Christian and ecumenical dialogue. The final sections of
the commentary will suggest liturgical and pastoral applications of each chapter. The Gospel of John have made a
decisive contribution to the formation of the theology, philosophy, and culture of Europe and the Near East. The
project thus bridges the history of Christianity with ancient history, connects four cultural spheres (Syriac, Latin,
Greek and Hebrew culture) and finally links these ancient traditions with contemporary world. The output of the project will be applied in schools with a focus as the basis of educational material (theology and religious
education). The outputs of this project can also serve as a basis for the study of classical philology, ancient and
medieval history, philosophy and theology. The application potential of the project is highlighted by the fact that
previous commentaries in this series have been used extensively in the production of homilies, catechesis, and
other theological studies across the spectrum of Christian denominations. |

| Annotation: | The project is primarily focused on the processing of the extensive lexicographical works by L. V. Rizner, which in
manuscript form captures the dialect material from the Bošácka valley in the last decade of the 19th century. The
work of Ľudovít Vladimír Rizner is particularly associated in our cultural history with the monumental Bibliography
of Slovak Literature, which accompanies the work of every literary scholar and bibliographer to this day. The main
practical goal of the project is to prepare a scientific publication of the manuscript source, which is a continuation
of the tasks carried out so far in the SÚJS SAV, v.v.i., which aim is to identify, summarize and editorially make
available older sources of diachronic research usable in the field of ethnolinguistic studies. On the theoretical
level, the result of the project will provide source material for further dialectological, lexicographical,
ethnolinguistic as well as folkloristic research. |

| Annotation: | The project deals with linguistic and literary-cultural communication in the environment of the enclave and diaspora. The relationship to tradition, values and linguistic-confessional memory becomes the starting point for synchronic-diachronic research of linguistic expressions in selected literary monuments and in other spheres of written culture from the 18th century in the environment of Slovak Evangelicals, Catholics, and Greek Catholics in the Lowlands. Cooperation of linguistic, literary, and cultural-oriented Slavistics and Slovakistics is essential for our research. An important part is the research of the relationship of the separated community to its confessional and linguistic tradition in the context of preserving the collective identity. Comparative research focuses on valuable coherences of communication processes, which provide space for understanding the relationship of the lowland community to the mother country in diverse linguistic-confessional context of the development of their identity. |

| Annotation: | One of the most striking cultural-historical, linguistic and customs phenomena in our territory is the population community that belongs to the Slavic-Byzantine religious rite (Orthodox and Greek-Catholic Church). Its original bearers were the ethnic group that contemporary sources call "Rutheni". Its influence on the formation of the national, socio-legal, but also religious structure of the medieval Hungarian Kingdom was quite significant and its presence is visible to the present day in our territory, especially in today's eastern Slovakia. It should be stated that the Ruthenian population was defined in relation to the domestic Slovak population mainly by two features, which were a different (non-original) ethnicity and affiliation to the Eastern Christian rite. Only later, but still during the 14th and especially in the 15th and 16th centuries, did the Ruthenians also have a specific socio-legal status, based mainly on the organization of life according to Wallachian law, the bearers of which in Hungary were originally the Romanian population. However, the main bearers of Wallachian law in our territory were the Ruthenian population, who very soon adopted this socio-legal system in their original settlements in Galicia and today's Transcarpathian Ukraine. The original ethnic meaning of the word "valachus" was thus shifted by the Ruthenians in our territory towards a socio-legal classification. In our territory, it was adapted to local settlement and national conditions and soon became an important socio-legal platform for the domestic population as well. The basic aim of the project is to thoroughly document, based on detailed research, the settlement impact of this population phenomenon, which in the socio-legal area was defined by Wallachian and German law, in the religious area by the Eastern Rite, and in the ethnic and linguistic area primarily by the Ruthenian population. |
