Duration: 1.1.2025 - 31.12.2026
Program: Mobility
Project leader: Mgr. et Mgr. Balleková Katarína PhD.
Annotation:The project will deal with hitherto unknown and unpublished texts from the discovered file of the so-called Wollman's Moravian collection of folk literature, which was assumed to be irretrievably lost. The Czech slavist Frank Wollman with his students collected Slovak folk prose in the years 1928-1947, and in the years 1929-1933 he realized a parallel collection drawing mainly from the Moravian-Slovak and Slovak-Moravian borderlands. It also includes hitherto unknown folklore records from the localities of Záhorie, the Považie region, the former Trenčín seat, etc. The project will focus on the publication and literary-historical, ethnological and linguistic interpretation of these oral folklore texts. With regard to the Slovak attribution of these communiques, the participation of the Slovak party is essential, which will, together with the Czech partner, make these texts of considerable folkloristics value available for critical interpretation. The project follows on from the cooperation carried out e.g. as part of Strategies AV 21 in the Memory of the digital age program.
