Big event 7 March 2007

The German EU Presidency and the European Commission will on the March 7, 2007, arrrange a big launching event for the FP7.
On that day, the following events should take place:
• Speeches by Angela Merkel and President Barroso on research
• Descartes award ceremony
• Opening of a public exhibition on European research
We would like you to disseminate broadly the information and the enclosed presentation. Please note that:
• The exhibition will be open to the public
• We are keen to have organisations exhibit their European research activities. We welcome in particular attractive and concrete exhibits (prototypes, mock-ups etc). Organisations such as Airbus, ESA, CERN, ESO, etc. have already expressed their intention to participate.
