The 5th European Climate Change Adaptation Conference (ECCA 2021)

14. 5. 2021 | videné 365-krát

The goal of ECCA2021 is to inspire adaptation action by showcasing solutions, exchanging knowledge, creating connections and strengthening the dialogue on how to act and at scale to adapt to climate change.

2021 is the year of adaptation to climate change.  It started in January 2021 with the first global Climate Adaptation Summit and culminates in November at COP26 in Glasgow with a discussion on a Global Adaptation Goal.

Resilience building and climate change adaptation are very high priorities on the EU agenda. As part of the European Green Deal, the European Commission recently launched a new EU Adaptation Strategy, the European Climate Pact and  Mission Adaptation, a cornerstone of  the Horizon Europe Research Framework programme.

In the context of increasing severe and frequent climate impacts, the ongoing pandemic and the economic recovery packages to build back better,  the 5th ECCA conference will engage adaptation experts, researchers, policy-makers, local authorities, businesses and investors, NGOs, youth and education organisations to inspire and deliver climate action and be part of the collective European climate change adaptation effort.

Registration is now open!
