The Environmental Technology seminar "Towards sustainable production and consumption: needs, methods and opportunities for research"
in Montpellier 11-12 October 2006 (France) organised by Cemagref and the PEER network (Partnership for European Environnemental research - www.peer-initiative.org).
The goal of this seminar is to study and discuss the development of environmental technology and it is designed in close collaboration with DG Research (Directorate Environment) and DG Environment.
The seminar will:
• Look at potential research needs for environmental technology • Offer a platform for the exchange of experiences, knowledge, methodologies and tools available within environmental technology research • Evaluate the use of these competences to assess environmental issues within the context of FP7 • Study the relationship between technology and general environmental problems
Main Topics:
• Policy Support and Life Cycle thinking • Life Cycle Assessment • Environmental technologies and innovation • Sustainability Assessment and sustainable consumption • Sustainable management of energy, water, waste and landscape
Target audience:
• All researchers and stakeholders involved in environmental science and/or technology
F An important output of the conference is the design of a research agenda which will be submitted to research organizations, research councils and funding agencies (e.g. the European Commission – FP7).

j´ai l´honneur dans vous informer de la tenue prochaine d´un séminaire de deux jours, les 11 et 12 Octobre 2006 en France, à Montpellier, dans le domaine des écotechnologies: "PEER Environmental Technology Seminar: Towards sustainable production and consumption; needs, methods and opportunities for research".
Ce séminaire est organisé par le Cemagref dans le cadre de sa présidence en 2005/2006 du réseau européen PEER (Partnership for European Environnemental research).
PEER est un réseau de 6 organismes nationaux de recherche en
environnement ainsi que de l´IES/JRC (Centre commun de recherche de la Commmission UE à Ispra) regroupant au total 4500 chercheurs. [www.peer-initiative.org].
Le Cemagref en assure le sécrétariat permanent depuis deux ans. Il ne s´agit pas d´un réseau fermé; nous cherchons ainsi à développer des partenariats et collaborations avec des instituts de recherche membres de tous les pays de l´UE.
Le séminaire se tiendra à l´Agropolis de Montpellier et le contenu a été élaboré en étroite coopération avec la DG Recherche de la Commission UE et la direction I de l´environnement

Le seminaire est gratuit; seuls transports et hébergements sont à la charge des participants.
Vous serait-il possible d´en diffuser l´information de manière ciblée vers les meilleurs labos concernés de la république Slovaque. ?
Nous attendons 120 experts de toute l´Europe et votre diffusion pourrait s´avérer très utile pour s´assurer de la participants d´experts slovaques.
Pour simplifier la diffusion je vous ai préparé un petit mail en anglais ci-après qu´il suffira de diffuser directement.
