Príspevok s názvom "Pest-Buda as a Serbian Cultural Center" prednesie historik Dušan J. Ljuboja z Ateliéru oddelenia interdisciplinárnej histórie Univerzity Loránda Eötvösa. Prednáška sa bude konať v Historickom ústave SAV, v. v. i., zasadacej miestnosti Ústavov spoločenských vied SAV, v podkroví na V. poschodí.

Abstrakt

Thelecturewill present the case for Pest-Buda as a Serbian cultural center, not only for theSerbs living in the Habsburg Monarchy, but also for all the Serbs in general, in the first half ofthe 19thcentury. The availability of the printing press, accompanied by a small but richSerbian merchant community, and the existence of central State institutions in Pest-Buda, allled to this urban area becoming acultural center for the Serbs in general. Printedpublicationswillbeusedas a source material, and thetoolsofdigital humanitiesas anaidto visually depict theargument.
