O článku:
In this paper, the application of vegetation structure in the process of creating the hierarchical phytosociological system is discussed. Different attitudes to the classification of ecotonal and mosaic phytocoenoses are pointed out, while the lack of unified approach and subjectivity of either acceptance or rejection of individual higher syntaxa is highlighted. While creating the universal phytosociological system, it is necessary to apply unified criteria, which should be based not only on floristic, but also on physiognomic principle. This was modelled on the example of chosen communities. Therefore, we classified subalpine coniferous shrubs dominated by Pinus mugo s. str. to the individual class Roso pendulinae-Pinetea mugo Theurillat in Theurillat et al. 1995. Moreover, it is observed that similar approach makes classification systems more useful in practise (e.g. in Natura 2000)
