Species composition of phototrophic microflora of selected thermal waters at Sklené Teplice (Central Slovakia) is presented. Altogether 29 genera with 30 infrageneric taxa of Cyanobacteria, and 19 genera with 80 species and 8 infraspecific taxa of diatoms (Bacillariophyceae) were determined. The most taxa were found in the Naviculales, i.e. 15 genera, 75 species and 7 infraspecific taxa. From Cyanobacteria 8 species are new records for algological flora of Slovakia, i.e. chroococcalean taxa Cyanobium parvum (Migula) Komárek et al. (syn. Synechococcus minutus W. West), Gloeothece palea (Kützing) Rabenhorst, oscillatorian species Geitlerinema thermale Anagnostidis, Leptolyngbya ferruginea (G. S. West) Anagnostidis et Komárek, Leibleinia epiphytica (Hieronymus) Compère, Lyngbya thermalis Kützing ex Gomont, Microcoleus steenstrupii Boye–Pet. and a nostocalean species Scytonema stuposum (Kützing) Bornet.
