Nejasná správa o stave elektronickej literatúry – v kontexte konferencie ELO 2016

This paper is an attempted overview of the current trends in the scholarly, educational and artistic practices related to electronic literature, based on the author’s impressions of the ELO 2016 conference in Victoria, BC, Canada. After outlining the organization and demographics of the event, it describes the definitional struggle inside the field and the rising exposure of feminist scholarship related to electronic art and also highlights important topics from the conference presentations. The paper also introduces a couple of major recent scholarly publications in the field and gives a brief review of the artistic performances that took place at the electronic literature festival.
