Spracovanie krátkodobých extrémnych zrážok

In this article a survey is given of some home and foreign methods for establishing the dependence between area and intensity, between intensity and duration of short period extreme precipitations and for establishing their probability of surpassing the limit in a certain intensity and duration. In the second part there is worked out by, by method of K. Chomicz, the probability of the occurrence of individual kinds of extreme precipitations. By means of graphs there is shown the probability of surpassing the limit (periodicity), in dependence on intensity and duration of extreme precipitations in Starý Smokovec for the years 1931 – 1960. The periodicity graphs for Slovakia are compared with the theoretical ones calculated according to the valid relation of O. Dub.
