The territory of the Crimea is divided into three geographical regions and these in turn into districts. They are: I. The Southern coast of the Crimea: a) the western part, b) the eastern part. II. The mountainous Crimea is divided into the districts: a) the yailas (mountain pastures), b) the district of the forests, c) the district of the forests and steppes. III. The lowland in the Crimea is divided into. a) the Tarchankut upland, b) the Kerch peninsula, c) The Almin-Salghir depression. d) the plain next to the Sivash langoon. According to these geographical regions and districts their geographical characteristics are given in the text.
