The article deals with the development of periglacial alluvial cones in the Southern part of the basin of the Turiec in central Slovakia. On the basis of a non-uniform development of alluvial cones and their discordance the authors assume the existence of young intraquaternary movements in the Turiec basin. In the conclusion the authors deal with the description of frost wedges in the gravel accumulations of the Southern part of the Turiec basin.
