O článku:
According to the classification into climatic regions of the Czechoslovak Socialist Repuhlic the Upper Valley of the Nitra belongs to all the three chief climatic regions: warm, moderately warm and cold climates. This diversity of climatic conditions is caused especially by the height above sea level and exposure. Especially in the cold season there often occur inversions of temperature during the night when there is no wind, or when there is a very weak northern wind, in the lower positions of the valley. These have a very unfavourable effect in soiling the atmosphere in the neighbourhood of industrial plants. The average yearly temperature in the lower positions of the valley moves from 8° to 9’ C. and in the highest it is about 4° C. The wettest month is June or July. The ratio between the wettest and the driest is 1 : 2, hence precipitation is uniformly divided.
