O niektorých nových možnostiach korelácie riečnych terás na príklade stredného Považia

The author deals with the correlation possibilities of the Pleistocene river terraces on the middle segment of the Váh valley and in the Turiec basin in Slovakia on the basis of destruction degree of non-resistant volcanic minerals. He uses mathematical statistics (Student's t-test) at the evaluation of destruction degree. On the basis of destruction degree of hypersthene, which amply occurs in the river accumulations, the author reveals correlation of the river terraces of the area studied using methods of mathematical statistics and points out different tectonic development of the parts of the area during the Old Pleistocene Epoch.
