O článku:
In connection with building of new roads the author studied also the problems of the medieval Communications in Slovakia. Thus, he found that the long-distance transport lines served not only for changing material goods between regions considerably distant from one another and with a different economic potential but that they determined also the economic, cultural and political features of the region passed. That concerned namely the crossings of great water streams and mountain chains, This foundation of knowledge is applied to a quite concrete case, namely to the Crossing of the flood-plain of the lower Nitra by the Via Bohemica, connecting Prague with. Buda in the vicinity of the present-day’s Nové Zámky. Two settlements with their customs-houses and the adjoining lands brought upon themselves such an interest that a series of donatory deeds of economic nature arose, on the basis of which the geographical picture of the landscape of the late 13th century is very strictly reconstructable. That is the question which is the paper devoted to.
