This paper presents the development of the middle Váh Valley in the Quaternary Period. Analyzing the alluvial fans of the rivers flowing into the Váh from the White Carpathians, the author demonstrates the unwarranted opinion of some authors, according to which the Váh river could be only a conveyer during the Quaternary age. The terrasic ordering of alluvial fans of the Drietomica and Chocholnica rivers, as well as existence of terraces on the river Váh in the Trenčín basin is to be understand as successive deepening process of the Váh in section from Púchov to Nové Mesto nad Váhom in the Quaternary. Thus conveys a strong impression of an analogical erosion effect like in section above Púchov.
