Rekonštrukcia rastlinnej pokrývky Turčianskej kotliny na základe peľovej analýzy

Based on geological, geomorphological, climatic and palynological results, a reconstruction of the original vegetation cover of the hollow of Turiec was executed. The results of pollen analyses are given on the evolution of this hollow’s vegetation from the atlantic era up to the subrecent era. The map of vegetation reconstruction shows the characteristic associations of the original plant cover. The author came to the opinion that, on the territory of this hollow, the original woody plants were: pine (Pinus silvestris L.), spruce (Picea excelsa L.) and summer oak (Quercus robur L.), which have formed the basis of the forest stands in this territory.
