To the most topical problems of school geography the author places the problems of modernization of teaching content and of direction of educational process, mainly of school activity of pupils. With the change of content also teaching methods must be changed. In geography it is necessary to concentrate on an election of such kinds of knowledge, which have a standing value for the further self-education and at the same time to use such methods, which call for a separate work of pupils. The teacher of geography must he acquainted perfectly not only with the special problems of the subject, but according to burdensomeness and content filling he must be able to choose properly and use the most suitable method in the interest of the most effective filling-up educational aims within the respective geographical subject.
