O článku:
The present work deals with the problem of underground waters in the Váh alluvium of the Bytča hollow. It evaluates the geographical-geological environment, the mightiness and permeability of inundated gravels and sands, as well as the reserves of underground waters. It determines the forms of quantitative and qualitative formation of underground waters and estimates their mutual relation to the surficial waters of the Váh river and its affluent. The main statement of the study consists in that the underground waters of the Váh alluvium have relatively good physical-chemical properties of the drinking waters in places more distanced from the river bed. Near to the river, the groundwater is allected by its secondary pollution. The quantity of underground waters is estimated principally by the balance method and the method reposing on the annual oscillations of the water level.
