Based on an analysis of the soil cover structure, in the Danubian Lowland, it was found that the soil zonality, supposed here until now, does not exist. The hypothesis formulated points out that the soil cover differentiation, in this lowland and analogously in the other subcarpathian lowlands too, was conditioned by its differentiated geological-geomorphologi-cal evolution in Quaternary.
