Methods and approaches of land use present various possibilities to the geographer. They sum up the study of area and production capacity of the land as well as its suitability for recreation as a constituent part of the environment. Geographical field research and the study of literature have yield an areal analysis and synthesis of natural, social and economic con-ditions of the investigated territory, which is presented in its full extent. Effective support is thus provided at the theoretico-methodological and regional level for the formation and protection of land as one of the most important components of the environment.
