Diferenciácia priestorovej ekonomickej štruktúry SSR

The starting point of the analysis are 31 parameters of economic, social and cultural development of Slovakia. Eleven selected parameters have been analysed according to 38 territorial units by the Computer Tesla 200, on applying factor analysis. The three calculated factors show the importance of three groups of parameters for the understanding of the types of homogeneous regions, which focus on the share of industrial production, the intensity of agriculture, on the standard of consumption and bank deposits. The combinations of factors show, by means of graphs and maps, the differentiation of the present spatial structure of Slovakia. The synthesis using the value ,,Ti“ presents 4 main groupings of territorial units into homogeneous regions. The results are of value for the spatial theory as well as for practical decision making.
