The author investigates the relations involved in tourism and recreation in the landscape system of 52 basins in Slovakia. He includes selected factors affecting the pre-conditions concerning localization, selection and realization of tourism and recreation. Eventually he distinguishes the basins according to the degree of development of interactions between tourism and further elements of the landscape system of basins (Fig. 8) and he outlines a diagram of connections between tourism and other elements of the landscape of basins (Fig 9).
