Nodálná štruktúra systému slovenských miest

In this paper an attempt is made to identify the nodal structure of the Slovak urban system using records of long-distance telephone calls among the 105 selected cities in Slovakia. The results of dominant flow analysis show that the urban system is organized around two major nodes of Bratislava in the West Slovakia and Košice in the East Slovakia. Then the main characteristics of these regionally separated subsystems are described and the spatial correspondence between the nodal structure and the administrative division of the country is examined.
