The study works up the settlement topics of the oldest map of the Old Hungary preserved with reference to the territory of Slovakia and in this way it contributes to its recognition, interpretation and evaluation as a historico-geographical source. It revises the up-to-date results in identifying the settlements depicted and classifies them according to their political and economic significance, legal status and function. Finally, it reconstructs and interprets the network of settlements.
