Josef Homolka – český kartograf v uhorských službách

The paper summarizes the data about the life and work of the significant Czech cartographer Josef Homolka (1840 – 1907) acting in Old Hungary in the second half of the 19th century. He worked in the civil Services – in the Cartographic Department of the State Printing Office. He has been author of a great number of cartographical papers and his work concerned also Slovakia to a large measure. The 75th anniversary of his death is being remembered in this year.
