O článku:
In the article, information of some new trends of the demographic development in Czechoslovakia is submitted. A set of pro-natality measures from 1968 – 1973 resulted in a significant increase of natality, which manifested itself especially in the Czech part of the Czechoslovak Federation. In late three years, however, the natality decreased significantly again, the mortality being not improving and thus the natural growths of population have decreased substantially. At the same time nuptiality decreases and both divorce and abortion rates increase. Owing to this fact it is necessary to revise the projects of population development for 1980 – 2000. These fact represent significant factors also for economic and settlement geography, especially with respect to the individual parts of the state territory, manifesting themselves considerably differentiately.
