Krajinné syntézy – ich východiská a smerovanie

The scientific implements in geography have not yet been able up to the present time adequately to conceive and explain the object of its own study — the landscape in its complexity and dynamlcs. It is assumed that now it is necessary to look for starting points, for new ways. The starting point is to be looked for on a far wider basis, in progress of the syn-thetico-theoretical line, in transformation of the philosophy of present science, of its theoreticoŕ-methodological conceptions, in transformation of mathematical logic and speculation, not in a mechanical transferring of formulas and technological procedures from other Sciences. When the findings from other Sciences diffuse, it is necessary to keep one’s own object – the landscape in view all the time, namely as an object developing rapidly, in much differing from the object of the geography of the past. The object is being continued, but its content changes strongly. Within the convergence of findings from the individual branches of geography as related to the fundamental problems of geographical reality, there is a prospect to overcome present state. It becomes necessary and under present conditions in the science also real to create an exact theoretico- methodological basis for geographical syntheses to be formed. This is, at the same time, a condition for a scientifically based prediction and thus also for a wide applying geography in practice – in the scientific organizing the geographical space, i. e. the landscape.
