The aim of this contribution is to point out some aspects of correlation linkages between the properties of surface courses and the landscape components, namely in the way that they show in the light of the results of the run-off process research. The correlation linkages are the basic assumption for delimitating hydrological regions of the landscape, by means of which it is then possible to utilize the results of investigations of run-off changes in consequence of changes in land use forms realized in experiment drainage areas on a regional level and to assure a rational gathering of hydrological data from a basic observation network.
