In 1986 is the 30th anniversary of the methodic conference, in which in Czechoslovakia foundations of modem didactics were laid officially for the individual educational subjects, among them also for the didactics of geography. During the past period the didactics of geography went very intensively into the geographical education to be more perfect at all the types of schools, it took part in creating educational curricula, textbooks, school geographical atlases, educational implements as well as in preparing the teachers of geography. At the same time the didactics of geography has developed as a young scientific discipline.
