The statistical data followed for the years from 1920 to 1984 and the graphs of Slovakia’s land fund state and development prepared from them (the years from 1900 to 1919 have been interpolated and for the years from 1984 to 2000 a prognosis has been prepared) as well as a graphical projection of agricultural land fund decreases prepared for various purposes to utilize it in all the national economy point out critically the economics as to the management with the land fund. In 1920 the area of arable land was larger than that of forest land. Non-agricultural land was far less than agricultural. The first critical moment in connection with the land fund protection aimed at agricultural employment occurred in 1950, when both arable and forest lands expressed in hectares encountered each other at the same value and began to change predominance. Another critical point as danger lies preliminarily in the prognosis only; if the developmental trend is the same further on, the agricultural land will encounter the non- -agricultural one as to the area in 1990 and will change the value of predominance.
