O článku:
In 1988 Detva is celebrating 350th anniversary of foundation. In cognizance of this public an image continues to exist about it like a central-Slovakian village with rich folk traditions, beautiful nature and the laz-dispersed settlement. During the last 4i0 years, however, in consequence of industrialization, Detva turned to an industrial town. The large-scale agricultural production has entirely changed also the face of landscape environment owing to the large-scale pattern predominating. The summit of the Poľana Mt (1458 metres above sea level) dominating the area became a much-frequented touristic centre.
