The Work is an example of applying environmental approach in solving ecological and spatial conflicts resulting from a motorway construction in a landscape system. The authors went out from an expert analysis of both supraregional and local aspects of locating the motorway, from diagnosing both the natural and socio-economic structures as well as from diagnosing the motorway impacts on 16 selected elements, or in other words, functions of the landscape, The aid of the work is the overall evaluation of the motorway line variants proposed on the basis of the multicriterial evaluation together with the consecutive recommendation of the variant most rational from the geoecological aspect.
