O článku:
Till this time foundations of three conceptions of the map expressing system have been worked out, namely designated as the language of map, the cartographical language, and the map symbolism. All the three conceptions develop separately further on. Also the conception of cartographical language (in linguistic position) is being worked out in details. In the framework of this conception both cartosignics (a set of findings about the material reserves) and cartomorphology-morphography (a set of findings about sign-formation, i. e. about operations, by means of which signs are formed) have already been developed. Now two attempts for delimiting map syntactic types belonging to the problems of cartosyntax are presented. The first (combinatoric) attempt is considered only little productive, nevertheless the second (classifying) attempt results in delimitation of 16 syntactic types well coinciding with reality. These types are to be conceived as patterns, or paradigms, necessary for the transition from the sign to the map within the scheme of the succession of basic cartographical syntactic units (cartographical sign — map — edition of maps — atlas — set of atlases ...).
